Pauline Rose Clance I am a board certified Atlanta psychologist who has been in practice for over 30 years and I remain very impressed with the ability of clients to be able to alter their lives in a positive direction. I have seen many clients benefit from the process of psychotherapy.

Some of my clients have sought help because they are experiencing struggles and difficulties and are discouraged with their coping abilities. Others find themselves stuck and unable to proceed. I work with obstacles (internal and external) that prevent clients from affirming their work, their love, their dreams and their life. They want more success, love and zest in living but cannot manage to achieve this. In therapy, we work together to discover why they are stuck. I work with them to use their internal strengths and external resources so they can have more self, work and relationship actualization.

One of my specialties is working with clients who experience the Impostor Phenomenon. Take the test to see if you need help with impostor feelings.

I work with individuals, relationships, intimate systems, groups, agencies and businesses. I think psychotherapy is a science and an art. I have received extensive advanced training in different therapy models and I have trained many therapists. I have worked in agencies and been a professor. As a result, I understand many of the issues clients face in their corporations, agencies or businesses.

My treatment philosophy is that each person seeking help is unique and I utilize the kind of focus that best fits him/her. In that sense I am a client-centered therapist. I believe a respectful relationship and alliance is critical. The same philosophy holds in my work with relationships and systems. I work with clients to approach their struggles with less judgment and more compassion and curiosity about what is hurting them and how they may respond differently. In the work, they discover their strengths and how to best use them.
